Laptop screens and Macbook screens can be replaced.
There’s no such thing as a genuine Windows/Chromebook screen. LCD panels can even change model & manufacturer in the same laptop series. It’s the lcd spec that counts here.
For Macbooks I have access to both the brand new compatible screen assemblies and the genuine assemblies from the official Apple parts supplier. The official parts are usually a good bit more expensive but the choice is there for you.
